Trip to Liberia

Our trip to Grand Bassa County, Liberia West Africa this March was quite productive.  We visited numerous schools and had the opportunity to talk with educators, administrators and student groups.  The students articulated their needs and fears surrounding not having the means to complete their education and being unprepared to enter their futures without the skills needed to pursue livelihood and support themselves.

GBCC

At Grand Bassa Community College we met with a group of students who spoke passionately about their desire to complete their education and their need for help with paying their remaining semester tuition.  We were also privileged to sit with the College President and his staff to discuss how we can work together to assist the students.

God's Heritage Orphanage

A highlight of our visit included a welcome program at God's Heritage Orphanage where the children greeted us with song "You are able God!"

We were able to provide the children with food, toys and other items but our work has just begun as we found the food storage room to be quite bare.  We pray God's blessings on Mother Dorothy and her husband for the care and hope that they give to the children and look forward to working hand in hand with them to provide these youth with love and necessities.

Humanity First Ahmidiyya Technical College

We sat with Senator Kaipay as  students at Humanity First Ahmidiyya expressed the significance of having vocational training and how those skills could be life changing in providing them with a means of finding employment and supporting their families.
